Wall Themes

Last updated: May 2026

Wall Themes let you apply a coordinated color palette to a wall and every note inside it in a single click — no more recoloring cards one by one.

Applying a Theme

  1. Select a wall on the canvas
  2. Open the Wall Themes picker from the wall edit overlay
  3. Hover any theme to see a live preview
  4. Click to apply

The theme applies to the wall background, header highlight color, and the background and text color of every note inside the wall — all in one step.

Bulk-changing Note Colors

If you want to change just the notes (not the wall itself), use theChange Child Notes Color option from the wall context menu. This updates every note inside the wall to the color you pick, leaving the wall background alone.

Multiple Walls at Once

Select two or more walls (Shift+click each one), then apply a theme to update them all in a single action. Useful when styling a kanban board with one theme per column.

Resetting a Theme

Use the Reset option in the theme picker to clear a theme and return the wall and its notes to their default colors. Reset preserves your content and structure — only the colors change.

Use Cases

  • Color-code research sections by topic in a single click
  • Give a kanban board a consistent visual identity per column
  • Differentiate project phases visually during a team review
  • Restyle a whole section of a mood board without touching individual notes
