The Table tool drops a structured table onto your canvas. Use it for comparison matrices, project trackers, content calendars, or any structured data that needs rows and columns alongside your visual work.
R to drop a new table at the cursorClick any cell to start typing. Tab moves to the next cell, Shift+Tab to the previous, and Enter creates a new line inside the cell. Tables support rich text formatting in each cell (bold, italics, links, lists).
A column is not just text. Set its type from the column header menu and the cells change with it: Status, Person, Labels, Rating, Duration, Date & time, Currency, Percent, Number, Checkbox, URL, Email, Phone, and Document.
That is what lets a table be sorted and read at a glance, and what lets the AI extend a table sensibly instead of guessing what a column is for. See Table Column Types for the full list.
The Document type gives a row its own full project document, opened from the row's first cell. The first column becomes the document's title, bound in both directions. See Table Row Documents.

Tables work with the canvas AI chat just like other elements. Reference a table with an @mention and ask the AI to summarize it, fill in missing rows, generate next-step actions from the data, or convert it into a kanban board.
