Whiteboards on the canvas double as folders — drop one onto your board and you can open it like a sub-board, or use it to group related boards inside a project.
Adding a Whiteboard / Folder
- Toolbar: Pick the Whiteboard (folder) tool
- Keyboard: Hover the canvas and press
F
Opening a Nested Whiteboard
Click a whiteboard element to open it. You enter the nested board with its own canvas. Use the navigation breadcrumb to go back up.
Customizing the Folder
- Pick from the icon gallery to give the folder a recognizable visual
- Color-code the folder background or its gradient border
- Resize folders with the corner handles to make important ones stand out
- Rename inline by clicking the folder title
Use Cases
- One project = one canvas, with sub-boards for research, planning, execution, archive
- Per-client folders inside a workspace
- Per-episode folders inside a podcast or video project
- Sandbox folders for experiments you don't want cluttering the main board

- Right-click a folder to duplicate, delete, or rename quickly
- Move folders between projects from the navigation sidebar's right-click menu
