Drop almost any file onto the canvas — Storyflow handles previews and viewers for the common formats and stores everything else as a downloadable attachment.

How to Upload

• Drag and drop files from your desktop directly onto the canvas
• Paste copied images straight from your clipboard
• Use the File tool from the toolbar to pick a file

A progress indicator in the nav bar tracks the upload so you can keep working while large files transfer.

Supported Image Formats

• JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, AVIF, BMP, ICO
• SVG on boards and in the image gallery, kept as a real vector
• Inline preview, resize, caption, and aspect-ratio support

Profile pictures, project covers and AI reference images take the raster formats only.

Supported Documents

• PDF: Inline preview with the file viewer modal — scroll, zoom, page through
• Word / Markdown / TXT: Stored as attachments; previewable in the file viewer
• Spreadsheets (XLSX, CSV): Stored as attachments; better handled by attaching to AI chat

Audio & Video

• Audio (MP3, WAV, M4A): Inline player on the canvas
• Video (MP4, MOV, WEBM): Custom glass video player; grab frames straight to image elements

Storage Limits

• Free / Plus: 5 GB total storage
• Pro: 50 GB
• Max: 500 GB
