You can stop the assistant while it is still working. This is worth knowing when you spot a wrong turn early and would rather redirect it than sit through the rest of the run.
While the assistant is working, the send button in the chat composer becomes a stop button. Click it and the run ends immediately.
This is the part worth understanding: the assistant's work is applied as it goes, not held back until the end. Each card appears on your board the moment it is made, which is why you can watch a board fill in.
So when you stop a run:
If you would rather keep some of it, you can: stop, delete the cards you do not want by hand, and carry on from there.
You do not always have to stop. You can type your next message while the assistant is still working and it will be picked up in turn, which is often quicker than stopping, retyping and starting again.
Stop early, undo once. The sooner you stop, the less there is to undo. A run caught in the first few seconds usually leaves nothing behind at all.
Give the correction, not the whole prompt again. After stopping, "same thing but for Q3, and skip the budget section" works better than retyping the original request with one word changed.
