What counts as AI usage

Every AI-powered action: chat messages, canvas edits, board generation, and image generation on Pro and Max.

Hitting your allowance never blocks the rest of the canvas. Everything that is not AI carries on working.

What each plan includes

• Free — a one-time trial allowance of Storyflow AI that does not renew
• Plus — a monthly AI allowance, plus the full tactics library and unlimited uploads
• Pro — 30× the free allowance, renewing every billing period, plus AI image generation
• Max — 60× the free allowance, renewing every billing period, plus the team workspace

Pro and Max were raised from 20× and 40× in August 2026, at the same prices.

The meter in the AI panel

The numbers were always in the account menu, but nobody opens the account menu mid-conversation, so the first thing most people learned about the limit was hitting it.

Now a small meter appears in the AI panel once you have used three quarters of your allowance. It tells you what is left and when it resets, and you can dismiss it.

At 100% it is replaced by the limit notice, so you never get two warnings about one allowance.
