Reading a page, not searching for one

Two different things, and it is worth knowing which you want:

• Reading a link opens the exact page you pointed at.
• Web search goes looking for a topic across the web.

Paste a URL and you get the first. Ask a question about the world and you get the second.

Why it will not just describe the URL

A plausible description of a page nobody read is an invention, and a URL alone is not enough to know what is on the other end. So the AI opens it. If you paste a link and it says it could not read the page, that is the honest answer rather than a confident guess.

Pages built entirely in JavaScript

Some pages return very little text to a reader. Their title and description still carry the caption or summary, and that is often what you actually wanted — a video's description, a post's caption. The AI works from what it got and tells you when there was little of it.
