The AI can write a PDF from scratch: a call sheet, a one-pager, a treatment, a lookbook, a proposal. Not a screenshot of something on screen — a real print-laid-out document with page breaks, running headers and page numbers.

Asking for one

Describe the document and who it is for. The more you say about the shape, the less you have to correct afterwards.

"Turn this board into a one-page treatment I can send the client."
"Make a call sheet PDF from the shot list — crew contacts at the top, schedule below."
"Write a two-page proposal from these notes. A4, our brand colours."

The AI writes the pages, then renders the file. Nothing exists as a PDF until that render happens, which is why a long document takes a moment to arrive.

What you can steer

• Page size — A4 by default, or Letter, A3, or exact millimetre dimensions
• Orientation — portrait or landscape
• Margins — 15mm on every side unless you ask for something else
• Running header and footer — the only place page numbers can live, so ask for them if you want them
• Style — a house print stylesheet sits underneath, so you can ask for changes to type, colour or spacing without describing a whole design

Pictures in the document

The AI can generate an image or find a real one and place it in the page. Ask for it in the same breath:

"Add a hero image at the top of page one."

Only pictures made or sourced inside Storyflow can go in. A URL you paste from elsewhere is not fetched into the document.

When it tells you something is wrong

After rendering, the AI measures the finished pages and reports problems it can see — a table running off the edge, an image that failed to load. It fixes what it can and re-renders once, then hands you the file and says plainly what is still wrong rather than looping.

It may also come back with open items: things the page needed that you never gave it, like a client name or a shoot date. Those appear on the card under the file, and answering them is how the next version gets filled in.

A PDF is not a document

A PDF is fixed — the thing you send, print or get signed off. If you want something you will keep editing, ask for a document instead, and export it as a PDF later. Asking the AI to export a document you already have gives you exactly the file the document's own Export button produces.
