AI Notes are a special type of canvas note powered by AI. They look like a regular sticky note but the content is generated and re-generated by AI based on a prompt and the context of your board.

Adding an AI Note

Add an AI Note from the canvas toolbar (or right-click on the canvas and choose AI Note). Write a prompt — what should this note contain? — and the AI generates the content.

How It's Different from a Sticky Note

• Sticky note: You write the content yourself; it stays the way you wrote it
• AI note: Content is generated from a prompt; you can re-generate or refine it
• Context-aware: AI notes can pull context from surrounding canvas elements automatically

Editing and Re-generating

Click an AI note to open its prompt editor. Refine the prompt and re-generate to update the content. You can also commit the AI output to a regular note if you want to lock it from further changes.

Use Cases

• Drop "summary" notes throughout a research board that auto-summarize nearby content
• Generate placeholder copy for a layout before final writing
• Create comparison notes that re-write themselves when the source changes
• Build a brainstorm where each note is one AI-generated angle on a topic

Tips

• Place AI notes inside a wall to keep their context tight to the wall's contents
• Use specific prompts ("two-sentence summary, plain English") for predictable output
• Convert AI notes to regular notes once you're happy with the content to lock it in
