Sketch Style for AI Images

Sketch Style for AI Images

Last updated: May 2026

Sketch Style is an AI image preset that produces hand-drawn or sketchy outputs — thumbnails, wireframes, concept sketches — instead of polished renders. Useful when you want to convey an idea quickly without overcommitting to a final look.

Turning On Sketch Style

  1. Add an AI Image element to the canvas
  2. Open the Sketch Style button in the AI image controls
  3. Pick a sketch variant (rough, line art, marker, watercolor, etc.)
  4. Generate as usual — the output uses your sketch preset

When to Use Sketches

  • Pre-visualize ideas during early brainstorming when polish would be premature
  • Create thumbnails for a video or article without final art
  • Storyboard a film or campaign with rough panels
  • Build wireframe-style mock-ups for product or interior concepts
  • Communicate "this is a draft" visually so reviewers don't get attached to specifics

Tips

  • Combine sketch style with the AI Storyboard Generator for fast pre-vis sequences
  • Use a sketch reference image for a consistent hand-drawn style across panels
  • Switch to Marketing Studio or Cinema Settings later to upgrade the same concept to a polished final
