Choosing an AI Image Model

Choosing an AI Image Model

Last updated: May 2026

Storyflow gives you a choice of AI image generation models. Each model has a distinct strength — photorealism, illustration, speed, fidelity — so you can pick the right one for the result you want.

Picking a Model

  1. Add an AI Image element to the canvas
  2. Open the model picker (next to the prompt field)
  3. Pick a model based on the look you want
  4. Generate — the chosen model is used for that image

How to Choose

  • Photorealism: Pick the model labelled for realistic or photographic output for product shots and human likeness
  • Illustration / stylized: Pick the illustration-focused model for editorial, hand-drawn, or graphic outputs
  • Speed vs fidelity: Faster models give quicker iterations; higher-fidelity models take longer per image but produce cleaner detail
  • Default: If you're not sure, start with the default — it's tuned for general-purpose use

Switching Models

You can change the model between generations. The model picker remembers your last choice per board so you don't have to re-pick every time.

Plan Requirements

Higher-fidelity models may count more toward your image generation usage. Check the Usage tab in Account Settings to track per-model usage.
