AI chat conversations are saved as sessions you can come back to. The history dropdown lets you jump between past conversations — useful when you iterate on a doc, board, or Tactic over multiple sessions.

Where History Lives

Each AI chat (canvas, document, dashboard) has its own history dropdown at the top of the chat panel. Click it to see your past sessions in chronological order.

Starting a New Session

Use the New Chat button to start a fresh session. Past sessions stay in the history dropdown so you can return to them later.

Renaming and Deleting Sessions

From the history dropdown, you can rename a session for easier recall, or delete one you no longer need.

What Persists Per Session

• The full message history (prompts and AI responses)
• Attached files and @mention context badges from each message
• The session's mode (Ask vs Create) and web search state when last used

Tips

• Start a new session when switching between distinct goals — keeps each session focused
• Rename important sessions with a clear label so you can find them in the history dropdown
• Combine sessions with AI Settings → Knowledge entries for project-wide context that survives across sessions
