StoryflowAI is your creative partner, integrated throughout the platform to help you brainstorm, write, generate images, and overcome creative blocks. It's accessible from the dashboard, whiteboards, documents, and blueprints.

Where to Find StoryflowAI

Dashboard

Click the floating AI chat button in the bottom-right corner of the dashboard to open a global AI chat panel. Use it to brainstorm ideas before starting a project.

Whiteboards

On the whiteboard, you have two ways to use AI:

  • AI Image Tool: Press G or select the AI Image tool from the toolbar. Enter a prompt and the AI will generate an image directly on your canvas.
  • AI Chat Overlay: Select elements on the canvas, then use the AI chatbox to transform, expand, or create related content based on your selection.

Documents

Click the AI bubble icon in the document toolbar to open the AI chat sidebar. Ask for help with writing, editing, or generating content for your document.

Blueprints

Each blueprint card has its own AI assistant. Click on a card to open it, and you'll see an AI chat interface specific to that card's context.

AI Image Generation

Generate images directly on your whiteboard canvas:

  1. Press G or select the AI Image tool from the toolbar
  2. Drag to place the image element on the canvas
  3. Enter a description of the image you want to generate
  4. Press Enter or click Generate to create the image
  5. The AI will process your prompt and display the generated image

You can also provide reference images by selecting existing images on the canvas—the AI can use them as visual inspiration for generation.

Context Mentions

Use @ mentions in AI chat to add context from your workspace:

  • Type @ to see a list of documents, blueprints, and whiteboards
  • Select an item to include its content as context
  • The AI will consider the mentioned content when generating responses

AI Usage & Credits

AI features use credits based on your subscription plan. You can view your remaining credits in Account Settings. Upgrade to Storyflow AI for unlimited AI.

Tips for Best Results

  • Be specific in your prompts—include details about style, tone, and format
  • Use @ mentions to give AI context about your project
  • For image generation, describe the style, colors, and mood you want
  • Iterate on responses—ask for variations or adjustments
  • Use AI as a starting point, then refine with your own voice
